MTV Is Launching A ’90s-Only Channel

MTV Classic will show reruns of '90s programmes for one week only...

Do you want to spend the rest of your summer on Laguna Beach with Lauren Conrad and the gang? Or dancing the night away at a Destiny’s Child concert? Then look no further…

From today, VH1 Classic as we know it, has been reborn as the new MTV Classic; your long sought after channel of classic TV shows and music from the 90s and noughties.

To celebrate their 35 year anniversary, MTV has decided to go back to its roots and dedicate a whole channel to our favourite shows, music, characters and concerts from the 90s and early 2000s.

Throughout the week, all the best music from the millennial era will be playing, from Britney’s nostalgic pink pigtail days to Justin T’s Cry Me A River phase – there’s even a whole hour devoted to the Backstreet Boys VS Spice Girls Top 10 hits. EEP!

MTV Classic will also play concerts from music’s biggest legends and recently lost artists including Bowie, Prince, Whitney & Jacko as well as music sets from the industry’s greatest artists such as Oasis, Nirvana and Bob Dylan.

What’s more, your weekends will now consist of binging on the most-loved reality dramas, Jersey Shore, Cribs and all time fave Laguna Beach because let’s be honest, how could we ever get bored of LC? And with the Hills 10 year anniversary back in May, what better way to celebrate than taking it right back to where it all began?!

Not only will this channel feature the most popular animated sitcoms Daria and Beavis & Butthead, but you’ll also get the chance to reignite your man crush flame for reality show pranksters Ashton Kutcher and Johnny Knoxville in Punk’d and Jackass.

The best part about it is that you don’t have to wait, tune into Sky Channel 356 now!
