This Is What You Need To Do In Your 20s To Be A Millionaire In Your 30s

Everybody wants to be a millionaire but so few people actually get to do it. Using the science of mathematics I calculated that 1.12% of the UK population are millionaires which is actually higher than I thought. Now if we’re talking billionaires that’s closer to 0.00008% – there are only 50 of those.

The millionaire title doesn’t have the same regality it used to. There was a period when Chris Tarrant was handing out millions to chumps that were good a pub quizzes. But that doesn’t lessen the perks of having stacks of cash. Especially if you’re young enough to use it irresponsibly.

Being a young millionaire is probably better than we all think it would be. The second best thing is being friends with a young millionaire but then you’ll fall into an ‘always the bridesmaid’ scenario and probably stab your ‘friend’ in the back metaphorically and maybe physically – I know I would.

Unless your father is an oil tycoon, you’re probably going to have to graft to become a millionaire. When you’re in your 20s the best thing you can do is be money-conscious and say ‘yes’ to every opportunity that comes your way.

This handy infographic from Entrepreneur highlights all the little things that real-life millionaires recommend to become a millionaire by the time you’re 30. Things like asking for help, being known for your work ethic, knowing when to take risks and shooting for 10 million instead of one.

So there you have it, everything you need to know about becoming a millionaire. When you do hit those six figures, remember who helped you along the way.

But on the real, becoming a millionaire is rarely on the agenda of those who became millionaires. Believe in what you do, be honest with yourself and pray that you make enough savvy business decisions to one day afford an infinity pool.
