You seriously will NOT believe what made the list...

Know your Disney films off by heart? Well, we bet you didn’t know this weird fact about them.

There are loads of common themes that run through Disney movies – romance, heartache, longing, loneliness, humour, growing up… But what about what’s NOT in them?

Seeing as they’re mainly targeted at kids, it’s no surprise to note that most Disney films won’t feature tonnes of sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll. But did you know that there are actually three things officially banned from Disney movies, that will totally make your head spin.

Mainly, because they’re SO weird.

Pete’s Dragon director David Lowery has just given an interview with Ain’t It Cool News, in which he outlined that Disney have explicitly banned three things in particular from their releases.

‘When you sign a contract with Disney, the things it says your film cannot have are beheadings, impalement or smoking’, he revealed. ‘Those are literally the three things you are not allowed to put into a Disney film.’

We mean, WHAAAAAAAT? This couldn’t get more random. David went on:

‘They literally have those words in the contract as things you’re not allowed to do.’

We mean, we can see why. But surely there would be a whole list of less grizzly things to include first?

You really do learn something new every day, don’tcha?
