Work-Out Your Way To A Kendall Jenner Body

Whilst most of us are still reeling from a month of mince pies and mulled wine, model-of-the-moment Kendall Jenner has been parading her jaw-dropping body over Instagram, frolicking on the beach in Dubai with Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez. And it leaves just one question on our minds: Just how does she sustain that long, lean and toned figure? We’ve got the low down.

The flat tum work out

Revealing her favourite workout is, ‘Anything core related’, Kendall works out four times a week with celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson, who also puts sisters Kim and Khloe through their paces. ‘I do cardio [and] muscle building,’ says Kendall, who does two-minute long endurance exercises, such as throwing a medicine ball against a trampoline and then squatting whilst whipping battle ropes for toning her stomach muscles and upper body. ‘I do a lot of ab works and planking,’ she says. ‘Being active and fit and keeping busy is kind of ingrained in me.’

Her Personal Trainer Says…

Gunnar gets his clients to use their own bodyweight for resistance training. ‘The basics like sit-ups, planks, push-ups give you results,’ he says. ‘Crank it up by compounding the basics to work multiple muscle groups. So, do a burpee with a pushup at the bottom, and a tuck jump at the top.’ So, what can we do to get Kendall-style abs? ‘Hold a plank position for 30 seconds then touch your knee to the same-side elbow for 8 to 12 reps per side,’ instructs Gunnar. 

The tea-tox she swears by

Kendall kicks off each morning with a cup of Kusmi Detox Tea (£9.99 for 20 bags, Selfridges.com) a lemon-grass infused green tea, and drinks up to 12 cups throughout the day. It’s said to aid weight loss, detoxify and give you a glowing complexion. Diet wise it’s ‘loads of fruit, vegetables and lean proteins. Strawberries [are my favourite snack].’ She’s also slammed fad diets, saying; ‘They don’t work. Losing weight is about changing your lifestyle and eating habits.’ Sounds sensible to us!
