With the new Cinderella film out today, we have rounded up how the film has totally taken over thw world of fashion and how you can get involved!
Anticipation was bound to be huge, come on it’s every kid’s favourite, but it’s not just children who are getting overexcited for the Disney film’s release, the entire fashion world has become totally engulfed with Cinderella mania!
Let’s start with star of the film Lily James who has quickly become fashion’s favourite girl. From her premiere Cinderella gown to her off-duty, trend-nailing looks, Lily is on the way to superstar style status and we have been totally won over.
For the film’s big premiere, Lily could not have picked a better or more appropriate gown. Let’s all just take a moment to appreciate it’s beauty. The Elie Saab Haute Couture number was made of gorgeous grey lace with exquisite sheer detail – check out the overlay when she puts her hand in the pocket. Who knew pockets could be so chic?
Accessorising with the only shoe better than a real glass slipper – a pair of embellished Christian Louboutin’s and a Charlotte Olympia clock clutch, we think every element of her big moment was perfection!
Her other film tour looks have been just as showstopping. This laced Erdem dress was perfection – and then she added a dark-red lip. We couldn’t be bigger fans. And for Milan? Lily went red hot with Gucci.
Finally, we just had to mention her Berlin wardrobe. Satin pink and floaty followed by a risque and seriously fashion-forward Mary Katrantzou mini.
If Lily’s epic style wasn’t enough to get everyone excited for the film (it was) then worry not, there’s more.
The high street have gone totally crazy over Cinderella style, like this lovely pale-blue dress below from Chi Chi London which would have you looking like the Disney princess in no time.
If it’s Cinderella make-up you are after then look no further than MAC and Gelish, who have created entire collections after the amazing film. Check out our beauty team’s verdict over here.
For your jewellery box, Truffle Shuffle have collaborated with Disney to create these seriously princess-worthy pieces. Our faves have to be this pumpkin carriage chain and the ultimate glass slipper necklace.
And if you want just a touch of Cinderella in your wardrobe, then invest in this stunning Lamb 1887 clutch which is totally inspired by the fairytale (it will go on sale online for £95).
Wowee, talk about a Cinderella story for our wardrobes!
