Ok, so we’re pretty sure that she won’t actually be appearing on our TV screens, but the Duchess of Cambridge really did just pay a visit to the cast of Downton Abbey in London. Yup, Kate rocked up at Ealing Studios earlier today to meet our favourite members of the ITV series, of which she and Prince William are apparently huge fans.
Although we can only image the conversation between the Duchess and Lady Grantham (a.k.a Dame Maggie Smith), we don’t have to envisage Kate in the servants’ quarters; we have photographic proof! Courtesy of Kensington Palace’s official Instagram account, there are snaps of Kate taking a tour of the kitchen, as well as posing with Lady Mary- or Michelle Dockery, as she’s known in real life.
For her visit, Kate chose a pretty cream coat from Jojo Maman Bebe’s maternity range, which is available for just £69. Although, any mums-to-be with their eye on this cover-up might want to be quick, as with Kate’s high street history, this is sure to be a sell-out in no time at all. Remember when the Duchess crashed the Reiss website?
While on set, Kate even unveiled a plaque to commemorate her visit, all captured on Instagram with the rather genius hashtag, #DuchessatDownton. It’s all too much. We can only imagine how jealous William is.
