We can’t quite believe it, but New York Fashion Week is just around the corner, and boy have we got some exciting news for you. Banana Republic, our go-to for a killer office wardrobe, will be joining the schedule for AW15. Hooray!
This is yet another coup for Marissa Webb, the former head of womenswear at J.Crew who was appointed as BR’s Creative Director last April. Since bagging the job, Marissa has given the brand a major chic-over, producing a spring/summer lookbook that’s still making us swoon (see above for proof). And while we mentally prepare our shopping lists for that new drop, we can also get ready to oggle the brand new men’s and women’s Autumn/Winter 2015 collections on Saturday 14th January at 6pm (according to the provisional schedule). Something tells us we’re really going to like it.
Marissa Webb is clearly the superwoman we suspected her to be, as she’s also showing her own eponymous range on the following Tuesday- is there nothing this woman can’t do? We can’t wait to see Banana Republic joining the likes of Victoria Beckham, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and Marc Jacobs during the week-long fashion fiesta. In fact, we’re already deciding what to pack in our suitcases. Well, not before we’ve taken a trip to Banana Republic, that is…
