Just when you thought Kim Kardashian couldn’t top her headline-grabbing week (Paper Mag shoot, anyone?), she goes and wears this.
Yep, the latex is back.
The 31-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star opted for a blush-coloured PVC ‘dress’ for the Melbourne launch of her Fleur Fatale fragrance from label Atsuko Kudo Couture for one of her most attention-grabbing looks yet.
It’s not the first time she’s rocked the label – she worked one of the brand’s latex LBDs to a Kanye concert with Kylie and a bodice to the GQ Woman Of The Year Awards earlier this year.
But while her asset-enhancing outfit may have reminded many of that now infamous baby oil shoot (probably Kim’s intention), it actually holds a few surprises.
Firstly, it’s not even a dress – it’s a top and a pencil skirt. ‘Latex fits so much to the body that to the naked eye it’s very difficult to tell if it’s a top and a skirt, or a dress,’ the brand’s managing director, Simon Hoare, explained.
Secondly, despite its curve-hugging fit, it wasn’t even custom-made for Kim. Just like the identical bodice she rocked in black back in September.
‘The bodice she wore when she won GQ Woman Of The Year is something you can go onto the website and purchase,’ he confirmed.
And lastly, it’s actually probably one of the most purse-friendly looks she’s worn this year. The Paris Cup Bra (£120) and the pencil skirt (£124) together come in at £244.
Who would’ve thought?!
