Shh! We’ve Discovered The A-List’s Boutique Label Secret

There’s a serious style crush sweeping the celeb set right now in the form of Stateside boutique hotspot The Reformation. Counting Rosie Huntington-Whiteley – we’ve clocked her in two of their maxis recently – Taylor Swift, Candice Swanepoel, Julia Restoin Roitfeld and Miley Cyrus as fans, the brand came to life after founder Yael Aflalo grew tired of seeing so much waste within the fashion industry.

Named after both Martin Luther King’s Reformation and the idea of reforming clothes, the label, which has boutiques in LA and NYC, creates pieces from vintage garments and surplus materials. The result is limited-edition collections that the A-list can’t get enough of.

Boho, edgy and cool all rolled into one – think floral dresses with sexy cut-out backs (like the one Cressida Bonas donned for a recent society wedding), co-ords, jumpsuits and even offbeat wedding frocks. When asked who inspires the designs, Aflalo says: “We’re actually inspired by ourselves. When I design something, if I can’t picture three of the girls that work here wearing it, I won’t make it.” Hooked? You haven’t heard the best bit – The Reformation ships to our shores for free. Prices may be on the investment side – around £150 for a statement maxi – but when you can pretty much guarantee you’re not going to find yourself in a ‘same dress’ situation, it’s worth a splurge.
