Whistles. out go-to for luxe, high-end high street pieces, has a stellar spring collection, and we’ve picked the four pieces we can’t wait to snap up on our next shopping trip.
First up is this palm print bomber. We’ve already flagged up palm prints as the new bomber pattern to know in the magazine, and this number is the perfect way to get in on the trend. At £150, it’s a bit of a splurge, but the real silk fabric makes it worth it – you can dress it up for the night with strappies and a slinky dress, or team it with jeans and skate sneaks for the ultimate in casual cool.
Whistles is all about the bamoo print for spring, and our second must-buy is these gorgeous pale pink culottes. Team with a grey marl knit while it’s still chilly, then a denim jacket and platform espadrilles when the sun comes out. And don’t forget to check out the matching top for a killer combo.
This laser cut top made the fashion crowd swoon when it was debuted on the catwalk at London Fashion Week. The oversied cut-out makes for a cooler take on classic broderie anglais. If you’re a co-ord fan, there’s a pencil skirt in the same finish, or maximise the tunic style length by layering over cigarette trousers. Finish off with a showstopping statement necklace in a bold shade.
Lastly, this pretty printed shirt is getting us seriously in the mood for spring. The pocket details nod to this season’s huge utility trend, while the frayed edges lend a real designer feel. The shape is slightly cropped, so try it with some high-waisted indigo flares for a retro feel. Add a bright pink lip and you’re good to go!
