Fashion Month is often a time when new faces turn into international sensations in the modelling world and really start to get noticed. So with Milan now in full swing, we have tracked down the girls who are walking for the biggest designers, making the biggest splash on the catwalk and offering up some stiff competition for the most well-known supers.

With the likes of Cara Delevingne and Suki Waterhouse taking a backseat this season – both haven’t walked in a single show, a huge change from just a few season’s ago – there is certainly room opening up for some new model superstars. However, with Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid still storming the catwalks, the new gals do have some tough competition. But we are eager to see who will come out the other side as serious contenders. If you remember, it was this time last year that Kendall walked in her first show and look at her now!

So here are the ladies you need to know about.

Imaan Hammam

One of the leggiest ladies we have seen since Karlie Kloss, Dutch model Imaan is a force to be reckoned with. She has opened for Givenchy, walked for Victoria’s Secret and even appeared on the coveted September issue of American Vogue. This season, she has strutted her stuff for the likes of Ralph Lauren, Altuzarra and Carolina Herrera. Make sure to check out her Instagram page – with those tumbling curls and never-ending limbs, she gives even Queen Kim K a run for her money with her selfie taking. We are sensing big things for this gal.

Hollie May Saker

You may have heard of British model Hollie who has been making an impact for some time now, but this season, her career seems to have stepped up a gear. Storming the catwalks this fashion month, Hollie has walked for Moschino, Topshop Unique, Emilia Wickstead, DVF, Tommy Hilfiger – we could go on, the list is really quite long, but we won’t bore you with that – all you need to know is, this girl has big things ahead of her and there’s every chance she will be a household name before 2015 is out.

Sophia Ahrens

With Christopher Kane, Burberry and Calvin Klein on her ever-growing catwalk tick list, Sophia has made a serious splash this season. Born in Hamburg and raised in England, Sophia boasts light-brown wavy tresses and a seriously pretty smile. Her presence on VB’s catwalk was something special and we can’t wait to see what’s next for her.

Winnie Harlow

Undoubtedly the most unique look you will see on this season’s catwalk, Winnie (real name Chantelle Brown-Young) has shot to fame in the last few months. You may recognise her from America’s Next Top Model, which she appeared in last year, but she has more recently become known for pretty much stealing the show on the catwalk. With the skin condition, Vitiligo, Winnie is evidence that models don’t all look the same and is a fresh force in the fashion industry. As well as being the face of Desigual, Naomi Campbell picked Winnie to walk in Fashion For Relief – when you’ve been given the stamp of approval by both Tyra and Naomi, you’re probably going to be pretty huge.

Emma Waldo

New York City gal Emma has already walked for Erdem and DKNY, as well as appearing in DKNY’s spring ad. With her stunning pale skin and brunette locks, she has been tipped for big things and has already made her mark on the industry. One to watch.

When you’re 16 years old, 5″10 and make your debut by opening for Prada, you only need one name. Willow is managed by The Lions in New York and is clearly destined for big things. Seriously, Prada? Need we say more.
