To celebrate the payday issue of LOOK (out now) the fashion and beauty teams have rounded up the three ‘It’ buys you won’t regret spending on this week. Happy shopping!
First up, is autumn’s most coveted cover-up, the blanket cape. Inspired by the Burberry catwalk and all over the high street, Deputy Fashion News Editor Gemma Gow has styled it up for a cool daytime vibe. This French Connection number may be a splurge at £170 but because it’s reversible, it’s totally worth it – you’re getting two coats for the price of one! Gemma is rocking it with a chic roll neck from H&M (a key buy for autumn), some staple skinny jeans in bright blue from New Look and accessorising with a chain strap bag from Zara and an amazing pair of over the knee boots in oh-so-autumn snakeskin from Topshop.
Next, we know there’s nothing better than finding your dream dress at a fraction of the price, which is where this Look for Simply Be blue number comes in. Everyone raved about Simone Rocha’s stunning grid work dress from the autumn/winter ’14 collection, so when we teamed up with Simply Be to create a capsule collaboration, we couldn’t get the texture out of our heads. This striking blue homage is just £65 making for the perfect pay day present to yourself with pennies left over to spend on a little something extra.
Speaking of which, our best beauty buy has got to be this hot new Nails Inc. red lace varnish – an amazing edition to any nail addicts collection. The polish is part of Alexa Chung’s range for Nails Inc. and the lace effect finish looks amazing layered over a silver, gold or black base. And for just £15 a pop, it’s the nail must have you’ll want to keep painting with!
