We went behind-the-scenes at InStyle’s pre-BAFTA Awards party and here’s what went down….
So where was it?
Taking place on the top floor of Shoreditch’s hottest location, the Ace Hotel, we took the dedicated VIP lift up to the 7th floor to join the celeb fest. Concrete and exposed lightbulbs were the order of the day for a cool industrial vibe. Floor to ceiling glass windows with masses of multi-coloured tea lights made for a pretty impressive view of London lit up at night.

Who Was There?
Anyone who’s anyone. Celebrating young British talent, the theme of the evening was all about #BritsinBrits aka British actors wearing British designers. Cue everyone from Julien Macdonald and her highness Naomi Campbell to Gone Girl‘s Emily Ratajkowski, Ella Eyre and our fave gal Millie Mackintosh. We hung out with Brit actress and wife of Tom Hardy, Charlotte Riley and got style tips from hot young designer Eudon Choi whilst Laura Whitmore got our award for the highest heels we’ve ever seen.

So What Were We Drinking?
Gin cocktails darling! The ginormous glasses of fishbowl proportions may have been bigger than our head but boy were they delicious!
Anything To Eat?
Of course! Forget the tiny canapes, this party was all about mini hamburgers in brioche buns and plenty of them!

What About The Soundtrack?
England’s finest Sheridan Smith and Jaime Winstone were on the decks spinning out old school 90s hip hop and funky dance tunes. The White Queen actress Eleanor Tomlinson danced into the early hours of the morning whilst supermodel Amber Le Bon strutted her stuff on the dancefloor with fellow model Lara Mullen.
Oh, Did We Mention There Was A Bed?
Yup, you heard us right. Swapping the usual party photobooth for a bed booth, guests could clamber onto the plush double and have their photo taken before printing our their own version to take home. With an espresso martini bar and makeup girls on hand, needless to say, it all got a little bit raucous in the bedroom.
