Vivienne Westwood Saves The Day At Paris Fashion Week

Vivienne Westwood is a lady who knows how to fix a fashion crisis.

Yesterday, the fashion guru displayed her AW16 collection at Paris Fashion Week, and as expected, it featured an eclectic array of multi-coloured frocks, scarves, shawls and floral veiled headgear.

But half-way through the show, one of the models had a bit of a runway crisis that nearly left her seriously red-faced.

A model dressed in a grey, black and white knitted tunic top and patterned trousers suffered every runway strutter’s worst nightmare when her top slipped off her shoulder to reveal her bare breast.

Luckily, Westwood came to the rescue by leaping up on stage right as the wardrobe malfunction was happening, coming to the model’s rescue by quickly adjusting her top for her to retain her modesty (see the pics here).

What a pro.

The 74-year-old designer was seen laughing it off before quickly returning to her seat on the FROW, as the show continued as if nothing had happened. Phew!

And what a show it was. Male models were seen working billowing jumpsuits, metallic frocks and make-up, whilst the females worked a crazy array of oversized hats, veils and floral suits.

Vivienne later returned to the catwalk for the finale, alongside collaborator Andreas Kronthaler, as the audience (including Lewis Hamilton who was working the FROW) lapped up her weird and wonderful designs.

Crisis, averted! Nice show, lady.
