The Topshop Unique Show Was An Army Of Punky Girls

It’s the show we’ve all been waiting for, and we had some of the hottest seats in the house to take in the view of Topshop Unique’s AW16 catwalk presentation.

A selection of the industry’s hottest supermodels turned out to join us in previewing the new Topshop Unique collection. And trust us when we tell you that this fashion hotspot did not disappoint.

Topshop’s autumn/winter offering was a fabulous revival of punky fashion trends, mixing androgynous cuts with bursts of classic femininity.

Adding to the ambience, the hair and make-up perfectly nodded to the vibe with retro-inspired beehives and heavy eyeliner – a trend that seems to be recurring on this season’s catwalks, FYI.

Baggy oversized trousers and cropped tops were just as much of a fixture as the more girlie lace mini dresses and sequin numbers.

Faux fur trim and rocker-style biker jackets featured heavily for the daytime looks, as well as billowing trench coats in a mix of different fabrics.

Flirty pink hues offered a softer edge to the tougher leathers and khaki colour palettes.

The eveningwear was jam-packed with drama – think lashings of velvet, uber glam dresses, sheer fabrics and daring necklines.

Our favourite?

Well, as soon as we saw these gold velvet boots strut their stuff down the runway, we were hooked.

We know what’s just hit the top of our autumn/winter shopping list…
