We love a high street/celebrity collaboration, particularly when it promises to deliver us with flawless, Parisian insouciance and a whole lot of style on a purse-friendly budget. Well, we’ve got great news because ex-Chanel model and muse to Karl Lagerfeld, Ines de la Fressange, has just created her third collection for Uniqlo, and it will be available to buy in select stores and online from tomorrow.
Yep, Ines X Uniqlo will be filling our virtual baskets as of tomorrow morning, when we face the impossible task of choosing between vintage floral tea dresses, indigo shirts and caramel hues. For spring/summer, Ines has applied her previously inimitable brand of French elegance to relaxed separates, pretty frocks and slouchy tailoring, and we’re officially hooked. In fact, we’ve been pretty obsessed since Monday, when we went down to swanky London restaurant Gauthier to enjoy a delicious Gallic feast, while sneaking a peek at the new pieces.
We’re not sure if it was the incredible menu, the champagne or the clothes themselves, but we left having fallen in love with Uniqlo’s SS15 offering. Our burning question for Ines? What did her time as a Chanel model and muse teach her? She told us,“Fashion has to be fun. I learned from the world of high fashion that you can express elegance without owning many items. This collection is very easy to wear, match and is layered to fit all women around the world.”
And, what does the French icon love most about fashion and her Uniqlo collection? “Fashion is one of life’s joys. Let’s enjoy it together! This is a really exciting collection. It’s easy to wear and offers everyday fun in fashion. These are the kinds of clothes I’ve longed for myself and I couldn’t wait to wear them!” We’re now considering Ines as one of our closest friends.
Even if we can’t quite BFF the lady herself, we can definitely dress like her thanks to this collection. Start making your wish lists now, ladies, you’ve got until tomorrow to decide what to shop. Follow this link to avoid wasting any valuable buying time. We’re ready for the checkouts!
