Dame Vivienne Westwood has teamed up with Asos to create a collection of eco-conscious, affordable and super statement bags. A fashion match made in heaven, Vivienne’s Ethical Africa range lands online this week (January 24th to be precise) and starts at a very affordable £58. A snip compared to the catwalk legends mainline arm candy.
As well as looking good, these bags will make you feel good too. Made in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi, each one is created from recycled canvas, reused roadside banners and unused leather cut-offs. Well, we wouldn’t expect anything less from activist Dame Viv – she’s a stickler for ethical values, especially when it comes to fashion.
Don’t go thinking style has been forsaken in favour of being eco-conscious though. There’s rucksacks, clutches and totes in the range, all featuring Westwood’s signature orb logo and bold prints – the squiggle is a label trademark. Be ready to click quick, we can’t see these hanging around once they’ve hit the virtual shelves.
