The Seventies Are Making A Comeback, Dungaree-Style

With the return of the sixties in the form of shift dresses, and the nineties making a massive comeback from chokers and scrunchies to rucksacks and mom jeans, it was only a matter of time before the seventies would make another appearance. Thanks to Rita Ora and Poppy Delevingne, we were taken back in time to the most iconic 70s style ever, the flare.

Rita was spotted looking funky and fashionable in some floor-sweeping, flared Stella McCartney dungarees on her way to the BBC Radio 1 Studios. Taking her outfit from cool casual to seventies chic, the Hot Right Now singer dressed up her dungies with a white shirt with sheer fleeves, a felt hat and some sizeable shades (something tells us these were to hide the effects of the Teen Choice Awards the previous night and not just a fashion statement!) She completed the look matching her bright red talons to her fedora.

Poppy Delevingne was also seen in some groovy (sorry for all the seventies slang) dark denim pair of dungarees out with model sister Cara in London. Poppy opted for a more casual approach pairing her look with grey Converse and a Burberry Brit black mesh crop top.

We love that the pair have given the classic dungaree a flared twist and it left us thinking there must be some fab winter dungarees on the high street. Shop the latest look below…
