We’re really sorry to remind you, but Christmas is over. The twinkly lights are all down, the presents are unwrapped and Santa’s off sunning himself on a beach in Barbados. If this makes you as sad as it makes us, then we have something that may brighten up your dreary day: you can still wear a festive, chunky knit!
Designer duo Leutton and Postle have collaborated with Kopparberg to design a festive jumper that can
The brains behind Leutton and Postle are best friends, Sam and Jenny who met three years ago at Central Saint Martins. “We decided to do a collection together – our first was really labour intensive, made with loads of different textures together,” explains Jenny when LOOK caught up for a chat. “We really enjoyed working together and things just went naturally from there.”
The pair design all of their knits beforehand, painting or doing collages, before a knitting machine brings their ideas to life. For the Kopparberg jumper, they traveled to Kopparberg in Sweden and got all their inspiration from their surroundings. “The bold geometric shapes echo the Autumn leaves and angular country barns there,” says Jenny. “And we layered it all over the top of a deconstructed classic fair-isle knit pattern.”
The result is a super-cool, yet totally comfy and cosy jumper that will have all of your friends asking “where is that from?” But get yours quick, the one-off design is flying off the shelves and won’t be available for much longer.
