The Dress Of The Decade?

Can we just say WOW? It was the Royal Wedding moment the world had been waiting for, and it did not disappoint. Kate Middleton (now Princess Catherine) arrived for her wedding to Prince William at Westminster Abbey looking every inch a queen-to-be in an elegant and beautifully fitted Alexander McQueen dress, designed by the label’s successor Sarah Burton. Reminiscent of both Princess Margaret and Grace Kelly’s wedding gowns, the creation featured long lace sleeves, a plunging neckline and full skirt.

Adorning her backcombed, half up, half down curls was the Scroll tiara, previously worn by the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret and known in royal circles as the ‘starter’ tiara. A girl after our own hearts, she kept her make up super simple with a smoky brown eye, a few strokes of mascara (must have been waterproof, we’re sure we spotted a tear here at LOOK HQ) and a pink flush to her lips and cheeks. Hip hip hooray! GG
