It’s the latest novel adaptation by Nicholas Sparks to hit our screens, and just like his other best-selling flicks (he’s the man who wrote The Notebook for crying out loud), we’re telling you right now that The Choice will make you laugh and cry. It really doesn’t disappoint.
When charming vet Travis (up and coming actor Benjamin Walker) first meets his new neighbour, medical student Gabby (rising star Teresa Palmer), they don’t get off to a good start.
But when Travis tries to sort things, his wise-guy antics only frustrate sensible Gabby, and she rejects his efforts. Cue Travis falling for the girl he can’t get.
Now, not only does Gabby have a major problem with her neighbour, she also has a serious doctor boyfriend (rich girl problems, obvs) but soon she’s starting to realise that Travis might actually be The One.
With plenty of romance, heartbreak and so many puppies, this flick will make you think about the choices we make, and what it truly means to love someone. Also, did we mention the puppies?
Basically, you’re onto a winner with this one, so don’t leave it to the last minute and instead book your cinema tickets for this weekend, sharpish. While we’re at it, it would actually make a pretty ace Mother’s Day present, too.
So whilst your mum’s heaping praise on you for how thoughtful you’ve been, just remember who helped you, eh?
Treat your mum this Mother’s Day, and book your tickets now.
The Choice is out on 4th March 2016.
