So it’s safe to say Taylor Swift has been embracing a very different style vibe recently.
Ever since she went bleach blonde for her Vogue cover a few weeks ago, the 26-year-old has noticably switched up her usual look for an edgier, slightly more undone one. And we are LOVING IT.
Last night, Taylor hit up Gigi Hadid’s 21st birthday party at the Nice Guy in Hollywood looking like a seriously fierce rock ‘n’ roll queen, working a black thigh-split sequin dress, platform boots and a purple lip.
And there’s more where that came from.
Gone are Swifty’s signature preppy looks, which mainly comprised of thick tights, sensible coats and plenty of tartan flippy skirts – these days, her off-duty day look is all about super short denim cut-offs, shades, trainers and loose-fit tees. Very cool.
And don’t expect to see her wearing any more ladylike frocks on the red carpet, either – nowadays, the Blank Space singer is more likely to be spotted in a skintight black catsuit.
Yep, Taylor has certainly had a re-vamp, and if you ask us, she’s totally owning it.
Oh, and there’s something you should know about her favourite Coachella look, too – earlier this month, we saw Swifty posing on Instagram in a cool black motif bomber (very on trend), which everyone assumed was simply part of her new tomboy style.
But actually, Swifty was sending a message. A secret message to boyfriend Calvin Harris. Because it’s only been revealed since that the lightning motif on the back of Tay Tay’s jacket is the cover of Calv’s new single with Rihanna, This Is What You Came For.
Oh, those sly foxes. Still, cute bit of support for her beau. Naw.
