We all know that Taylor Swift is ah-mazing with her fans, right?
She’s sent them Christmas care packages, invited them to her house to listen to her 1989 album and even paid $1989 dollars towards one Swifty’s student loan.
Taylor clearly prides herself on being a great role model (and so she should) – but her good deeds got her into a teeny bit of trouble earlier this week.
The 25-year-old reportedly liked a Tumblr montage someone had made of her with her devotees, which also featured other celebrities with their fans.
In the pictures of Taylor, she’s getting up close and personal with her Swiftys, while the other stars are keeping their distance.
The photo had been captioned: ‘This is most celebs with fans… and this is Taylor.’
Eek! You can *kinda* see why that could ruffle some feathers – and it did. One of the celebrities in the collage was Avril Lavigne, who was NOT impressed.
Avril, 30, re-posted the photo to her Twitter page, writing alongside it: ‘Comparison is judging and judging a person does not define who they are it defines who you are. We all Love our fans.’
She then shared a new montage of herself showing her love for her followers, adding: ‘So let’s keep it all about the love and stay positive.’
Taylor’s yet to respond to Avril, but her boyfriend Calvin Harris apparently has.
According to reports, the Scottish DJ explained his lady’s actions by Tweeting Avril: ‘[Taylor] didn’t judge you. She doesn’t judge anyone. She was only having fun with her fans, not trying to compare herself to you.’
However, Calvin’s comment seemed to have been deleted pretty quickly, as it’s no longer on his page. And now it’s thought that it may have been totally Photoshopped by a fan.
Gah. Why did they have to go and make things so Complicated? Let’s hope this lot can Shake It Off soon (sorry).
