Well. Solange Knowles certainly didn’t disappoint with her ensemble at this year’s Met Gala.
The 29-year-old sashayed down the red carpet at New York’s Metropolitan Museum Of Art wearing one seriously stand-out yellow number.
Designed by David Laport, her outfit consisted of latex leggings, a pleated top and an asymmetric skirt.
We’re not entirely sure how much it fitted in with the Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology theme, but kudos for being so brave, lady.
When it came to her beauty look, she’d opted for nude lips and glittery eyes.
But there was something else about Solange that people couldn’t help commenting on – the fact that she kinda, er, resembled a lemon.
Could this have been a message to her sister Beyoncé…?!
In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple of weeks, Queen Bey recently released her new album Lemonade.
The 34-year-old dropped the visual record with a 60-minute HBO special on 23 April. And it’s safe to say, it pretty much broke Twitter.
Among the political statements and nods to the Black Lives Matter movement, there were also some very suggestive lyrics surrounding infidelity.
Now, it’s worth nothing that Bey nor husband Jay Z (who didn’t appear on the Met red carpet with his wife) have commented on these rumours.
But Twitter seems pretty convinced that Solange’s outfit was a message of support to her big sis.
Tweets included: ‘Gotta love how Solange went to the #MetGala as a physical representation of literal #lemonade what a supportive sis!’ and: ‘I love that Solange dressed like a lemon, supportive sister.’
Hmm. Well, it’s a cute theory…
