What’s the sign of a good model? A lady who can rock menswear just as well as womenswear. Right, Cara Delevingne?
She’s known for her tomboy style and her love of a tux, but this time the 22-year-old model has taken her androgyny levels up a few notches by modelling DKNY’s SS15 menswear campaign.
Shot by Gregory Harris at Coleman Skate Park under the Williamsburg Bridge in New York, the campaign images feature a bevvy of famous catwalk faces – male models Ben Nordberg, Jackson Hale and Sang Woo Kim. Oh, and Ms D.
Cara looks gorgeous as she slouchily poses, hands in pockets, dressed in a black wool mens suit and tie, with her beloved platform sneakers strapped onto her feet.
Boasting a make-up free face, Cara’s long, wavy blonde locks are the only giveaway as she merges in effortlessly with the boys.
It makes a start contrast to her recent SS15 DKNY Intimates campaign, which sees a coquettish Cara lolling around in bed wearing knee high socks and sporty matching underwear sets.
‘They always encouraged my design input, my personal style and my ideas from the very beginning of our working relationship’, she told WWD about her collaboration with the brand.
‘DKNY is urban and edgy, but, most of all, it’s individual. They truly embrace the weirdness in all of us, so you can really be yourself.’
Amen to that.
