Why Celebs Are Getting Their Bra Straps Out

We know you haven’t forgotten about those no make-up selfies or the ice bucket challenge which both swept the nation to raise awareness for different causes. And the latest feel good selfie craze is currently underway with celebrities showing off their bra straps to raise awareness for breast cancer. Trust us, it’s only a matter of time before your entire Facebook feed is filled with #ShowYourStrap selfies.

As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, celebs are currently posting selfies to Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, showing off their bra straps and nominating friends to do the same. If you take a selfie, you are then encouraged to also donate £3 to the charity.

The craze started when Rosie Huntington-Whiteley teamed up with Marks & Spencer and Breast Cancer Now, creating the hastag #ShowYourStrap. Rosie has also designed a 19-piece range for the store of which 10% of sales will go to the charity, while the collection also includes a post-surgery bra.

All coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, celebs are jumping on board the trend seriously fast. Rosie kicked it all off and nominated friends including Cat Deeley and Millie Mackintosh. Since then, Daisy Lowe, Maisie Williams and Erin O’Connor have posted theirs.

And it’s not just Marks & Spencer getting on board the charity bandwagon. There are loads of amazing charity buys to snap up to help raise awareness for breast cancer this month and you can shop them all right here – Breast Cancer Awareness Month: The Best Charity Buys.
