It’s pretty difficult to pick our favourite look from last night’s amazing Met Gala, but Poppy’s poppies have to be up there somewhere. Ms Delevingne rocked up to the Ball last night in an amazing red Marchesa gown adorned with the most beautiful 3D poppies we have ever seen and quite possibly won the award for prettiest look of the night.
The V-neck evening gown was complete with a mega satin skirt, glittery clutch and her hair was styled into a perfect bun. On the arm of hubby, James Cook, Poppy championed what turned out to be the biggest trend of the night – poppy print.
Who else wore it you ask? Well, only the queen of fashion and the woman who hosted the ball herelf, American Vogue Editor Anna Wintour. Plumping to wear Chanel, Ms Wintour’s sequin dress was totally embellished with the red flower.
Sarah Jessica Parker was also aboard the poppy train in her custommade H&M gown and cape.
Jennifer Lawrence also opted for a similar floral print with her stunning Dior frock – the red flowers may not have been poppies exactly, but they were certainly inkeeping with the stunning trend. And finally, the ever-so-stylish Lily Collins made her stance on the poppy print known, wearing a gorgeous Chanel dress covered in the lovely flower.
We are officially sold.
If you want to make like the world’s most stylish celebs and rock a bit of poppy print, then don’t worry ladies, the high street has many a stunning option. Our favourite picks have to be this gorgeous floaty smock from ASOS or this lovely Dickens & Jones organza midi.
