This weekend, New Jersey was lit up by a supernova of models, actresses and actors as the eighth annual Veuve Cliquot Polo event came to town. From Joan Smalls and Lindsay Ellingson to Frieda Pinto and Emma Roberts, Hollywood’s finest came out in full force, and unsurprisingly, their outfit choices were ah-mazing. Our favourite? Enter Miss Diane Kruger.
Whilst we are just as partial to a floaty feminine frock as it seems the rest of the event’s star-studded guestlist is, it was Diane’s chic onesie that really stood out from the crowd. Featuring a keyhole bodice and strappy back, Diane’s all-in-one was a vintage Roland Mouret number, from the designer’s 2011 spring/summer collection.
And as if we needed another reason to dote over Miss Kruger’s choice of ensemble, the German beauty opted to go against the teeteringly high-heeled grain and don some white sandals. A hall-pass for flats? We’re sold.
As for accessories, Diane teamed her cut-out jumpsuit with a wide-brim straw hat and a pair of beige frame wayfarer shades – the perfect additions to any summer look. All in all, we’d tip the cut-out jumpsuit as a sure-fire crowd-pleaser this season, so we’ve scouted the high street to find you the best tribute to Diane’s one-piece wonder buy.
Step forward Asos’ all-in-one. Thanks to the nautical stripes and cut-out panels, this bargain will help you nail not one, but two major trends of the season. Sounds like a no brainer to us.
