Taylor Swift just got some seriously epic news. Because her Bad Blood video has now broken Vevo’s record for most views in 24 hours. Go Swifty!
The record was previously held by Nicki Minaj with her Anaconda music video, but Taylor’s now overtaken her with a whopping 20.1 million views in just 24 hours. Now THAT is impressive.
Expressing her shock and delight on Instagram, Taylor wrote: ‘Oh MY GOD. #BadBloodMusicVideo #24hrVevoRecord’, alongside a grab of Vevo’s announcement.
Having played it on repeat all week over here at LOOK HQ, it’s really not hard to see why.
The single itself – featuring Kendrick Lemar – is rumoured to be about her ongoing fued with Katy Perry, and the video features a gaggle of gorgeous models, actresses and singers making up Taylor’s Kill Bill-style army, dressed to kill in leather…
But one friend was noticably missing. And now we know why.
A source has told E News about why Kendall Jenner wasn’t included in the video. ”[She] couldn’t do it because she had an out-of-town commitment on shoot day.’ It added: ‘She was bummed she couldn’t but loved the video.’
Phew! So no fued then, just a simple diary clash. And at least there were plenty of Swifty’s celeb besties to take her place. Her best friend and fellow leggy blonde Karlie Kloss stars as Knockout, posing with boxing gloves and looking much tougher than we’ve ever seen before.
Another famous pal who appears in the vid is actress Lena Dunham, who stars as Lucky Fiori…
Destructa X comes in the form of fellow singing sensation, Ellie Goulding who poses in seriously sexy leathers.
Gigi Hadid is another mega model who makes an appearance. With a super high ponytail and leather bra, Ms Hadid looks like someone you really, really wouldn’t want to mess with.
The gorgeous Zendaya also took part, starring as Cut Throat.
Meanwhile, a rather more angelic-looking Lily Aldrige appears in the vid in a furry hood under the name Frostbyte!
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any more A-list, Cara Delevingne, Hailee Steinfeld, Hailey Williams, Martha Hunt, Selena Gomez and the ultimate super, Cindy Crawford in the very fitting role of ‘Headmistress’. Together, the girls strut out to take on the world. We’re calling it Girl Power 2.0, and we definitely wouldn’t mess with them.
