Um. Why Are People Criticising Scarlett Moffatt’s Outfit?

It’s safe to say that Scarlett Moffatt is looking AH-mazing right now.

The Gogglebox lady, 25, recently debuted a black and grey ombre ‘do, and has also been focusing on a new fitness regime.

So when she shared an Instagram snap of herself and boyfriend Luke Crodden heading out for an evening out in Newcastle over the weekend, the general consensus was that she looked smokin’.

One fan wrote: ‘You look amazing! Enjoy your night x,’ while another said: ‘He’s a lucky boy @scarlett_moffatt you look great! x [sic].’

We’ve gotta say, we totally agree. Scarlett had opted for a green halterneck dress, which featured a super-plunging neckline and waist-tie detailing.

She’d accessorised with a pair of killer gold heels, had straightened her newly-coloured locks and was rocking a subtle smoky eye. Miaow, lady.

But unfortunately for Scarlett, some people still felt the need to criticise her. *Sigh*.

When she posted the photo to Twitter, comments included: ‘Put a bra on,’ and: ‘Big bazookas need a bra. Soz.’

> Scarlett Moffatt is looking *incredible* right now

Um. We think Scarlett’s choice of underwear is up to her, and we all know how hard it is to wear a bra with such low-cut tops.

What made these cruel comments all the more upsetting was the fact that Scarlett had earlier admitted to feeling a little upset.

She’d actually captioned the image: ‘Out with this one to cheer me up @lukecrodden #boyfriend.’

> Scarlett Moffatt seems pretty smitten with her man

While Scarlett didn’t explain why she was feeling down, some have speculated that it may have had something to do with the passing of Gogglebox narrator Caroline Aherne.

Caroline – who co-wrote and starred in shows including The Royle Family and The Mrs Merton Show – lost her battle with cancer on Saturday, aged just 52.

> Caroline Aherne passed away at the weekend

Scarlett had Tweeted that morning: ‘Can’t believe what I’m hearing. What a beautiful, inspiring woman we have lost. Gogglebox will never be the same #CarolineAherne.’

While body shaming on social media is (obviously) never okay, we think it’s even more upsetting that people chose this occasion to poke fun at Scarlett.

Girl, you looked incredible.
