Rita Ora is the new cover star for US mag Teen Vogue. And we’re a tiny bit obsessed with this new look of hers.
Gone are the heavy kohl-lined eyes and drawn on bright red pout, and in their place cool wet, tousled hair and a fresh-faced make-up look that takes years off her.
And oh, hello, gorgeous new hazel contact lenses. At first glance, we couldn’t make out what was different about Rita’s glowing, pared-down complexion, and then we noticed those eyes. Talk about one hypnotising gaze…
Inside, Rita rocks an array of preppy US designer wares from Calvin Klein and Adidas that we can totally see her wearing in real life, as well as a red and black leather-sleeved varsity bomber from her oh-soo-exciting upcoming DKNY collection.
We’re also massively crushing on that cool camo-print Michael Kors sweat with chic zipped sleeves that she’s sporting on the cover. WANT.
In her interview with the mag, the 22-year-old singer talks about her love of fashion.
‘I’m a big fan of the pieces I wear’, Rita said. ‘I wear designers I know the history of. When I meet all of these incredible talents – Jeremy Scott, Donna Karan, Tom Ford – I’m like, “Without sounding psycho, I want to know about your inspirations.” I love their stories.’
She also opens up about her recent split from Scottish DJ Calvin Harris. ‘People may forget I’m just a 23-year-old girl who wants to be in love. And even though I live and breathe my job, I still want someone to want me. That’s how every girl feels.’
‘It’s like, “Will I ever love someone as much as I loved that person?”‘, she pondered, before deciding: ‘You will. You won’t forget how you felt, but you will love someone else again.’
