Remember when Cara Delevingne and Joan Smalls skipped down the Stella McCartney AW14 runway in March dressed in huge snuggly knits and those matching woolly bags? Well, now Rihanna‘s got one. And she’s working hers on a night out.
The Bajan singer may have been all hot pink Versace mini skirts and skintight Alexander Wang since touching down at New York Fashion Week, but yesterday she went for maximum comfort when she stepped out for dinner at the city’s Da Silvano eatery.
Sporting natural curly hair and toned down make-up, the 26-year-old looked snug as a bug in her thick grey knitted dress from Stella’s AW14 collection.
Trading her trusty strappy stilettos for a pair of black mannish brogues, RiRi showed she really can pull off anything. And also marked herself as the first celeb to work McCartney’s quirky knitted body bag off the catwalk.
Of course, RiRi’s bare legs, dark red lippy and silver hoops retained her signature sex appeal, but we have to admit – we’d love a night out in what must surely be the cosiest outfit of all time.
This isn’t the first time we’ve admired the singer’s NYFW ‘drobe. Earlier this week, Rihanna caused a stir on the FROW when she rocked up to Alexander Wang in a midnight blue, iridescent raincoat, matching hat and red, mesh-detail heels.
A quick change followed before she hit Altuzarra in a long-line blazer with tassel hem (by the designer himself, obvs) and a pair of black, high-waisted knickers. Miaow.
Biggest style chameleon of Fashion Week? She’s definitely up there…
