In the November issue of Vanity Fair, Rihanna speaks candidly about her love life, her relationship with Chris Brown and the loneliness of fame.
In one of her most honest interviews yet, the singer addresses how her public image is very different to the ‘real’ Rihanna.
“I honestly think how much fun it would be to live my reputation. People have this image of how wild and crazy I am, and I’m not everything they think of me, ” she explained.
Rihanna is obviously keen to change this image though. While we know Rihanna for her outrageous dress sense and scantily clad ensembles, this may
not the be case
for much longer.
Speaking to the magazine about the sheer Swarovski crystal encrusted gown she wore to C.F.D.A. awards – you can’t have forgotten the ‘naked dress’ – Rihanna said this will be the last time she wears this kind of outfit for a while.
“After that, I thought, O.K.we can’t do this again for a while. No nipples, no sexy shit, or it’s going to be like a gimmick. That night [at the C.F.D.A. awards] was like a last hurrah; I decided to take a little break from that and wear clothes.”
Rihanna has kept to her word so far. At the Vogue Paris 95th Anniversary party last week she wore an ethereal looking white number whereas for her seat at the Dior show she sported a pastel pink cape.
With Rihanna now embracing a more demure style, will this be the last of outfits like this…
or probably this…
