When it comes to hosting celebrity bashes, shoe designer Richard Braqo just well and truly stole the crown.
Indeed, to celebrate the launch of his AW16 collection, Mr Braqo held a dinner that gives even the biggest of red carpet dos a run for their money.
Millie Mackintosh, Rosie Fortescue and Lilah Parsons were among the A-listers who came out in their masses to support the designer (at an exclusive – and very, very expensive – venue in case you’re wondering).
But while the star-studded guest list was enough to get us talking, it’s the shoes and bags they came out to hail that have got us all up in arms. Yep, Richard Braqo is a designer label well worth investing in – and here’s why…
Starting around the £400 mark, Richard Braqo is a lot pricier than our usual brands – occasion or no occasion – but with their classic and quality styles, a Richard Braqo buy really is one you’ll end up wearing time and time again.
There’s black leather brogues, suede heeled ankle boots and mary-jane court shoes on offer, but with fabrics including buffed nubuck (who buck?!), luxe velvet and decadent ponyskin, you get a whole lot more bang from your buck than any old shoe.
As for the brains behind the pieces, London-based Richard Braqo has completed apprenticeships with Acne, Helmut Lang and Zegna and carved himself a clientele including Madonna, Nicole Scherzinger and Ellie Goulding. We KNOW. As well as all that, his designs have already been eulogised at the Brooklyn Museum in New York as part of the museum’s ‘Killer Heels’ exhibition.
