Bear with us here. We know the temperatures are hotting up and you’re stocking up on summer buys, but fashion land is already thinking ahead to next season. We had a sneak peak at the autumn/winter collections back in September and all of the big labels have been busy showing their resort 2016 collections lately too.
The good news is that there’s a lot to look forward to and just to give you a glimpse of what’s to come, we’re bringing you Primark’s latest collection before anyone else, so you can get a vital headstart on that new season shopping list. And believe us, it’s going to be a long one.
For autumn, the Primark girl is looking super cool and rather grown-up, all while ticking off the season’s key trends, natch. As the catwalks proved, the 70s love-in is going nowhere, and Primark has plenty pieces to perfect the vibe, from fedora hats to shaggy coats and gilets – not to mention an amazing homage to Chloe’s A-list adored Drew satchel bag. We can’t wait to channel our inner Stevie Nicks in all the boho dresses and embroidered separates.
Victoriana is huge too, making the lace mini, frilled purple midi and black waistcoat total must-buys. And did we mention that Primark has done their very own version of that suede skirt from Marks & Spencer that we were all clamouring to get our hands on?
Hitting stores in August, it’s the perfect transitional collection – that fringed coatigan will be a saviour for late summer festivals – with more wintry styles like capes, faux fur and oversized knits dropping later. And have you seen the shoes? Wooden platforms, studded pointy flats, Kardashian-worthy lace-up killer heels – we strongly suggest a shoe-drobe clear out in preparation. Get it bookmarked in your diary, pronto.
