We couldn’t help being reminded of a certain old-school Hollywood siren when Pixie Lott stepped out in London last night.
The 24-year-old singer was sporting a rather glamorous satin red mini, which featured a structured scooped neckline and a puffy skirt. Its thigh-skimming cut perfectly displayed her famously toned pins and the low-cut bodice showed off just the right amount of cleavage.
Pixie paired the piece with a leopard-print bag, embellished silver heels and crimson nail varnish. But it was her hair and make-up that really created her retro look.
She’d popped on an eye-catching pair of dramatic diamond drop earrings and was sporting a classic combination of red lipstick, smoky eyes and highlighted cheek bones. Her platinum blonde locks had been styled into side-swept shoulder-length curls.
The entire ensemble gave Pixie a real look of Marilyn Monroe. In fact, Marilyn sported a near-identical get-up back in 1953.
Well, there’s definitely worse people to look like!
Pixie was at fashion brand Dsquared2’s new store launch, which was also attended by celebrities including Elizabeth Hurley, Oliver Proudlock, ex-Made In Chelsea girl Chloe Green and Meg Mathews.
She’d been joined by her model boyfriend Oliver Cheshire, who was dapper in dark trousers and an unbuttoned white shirt. He toughened up his outfit with a leather jacket and an unkempt ‘do.
It seemed as though Pixie made a new pal at the party – mum-of-one Liz, 49, captioned a Twitter snap of them cuddled up: ‘Me and the enchanting @PixieLott @Dsquared2,’ which Pixie replied to with a series of heart emojis.
Over on Instagram, Pixie revealed to her followers just what they’d bonded over. She posted a picture of their feet – in matching shoes!
‘My shoe twin,’ she joked.
Good taste, girls!
