Payday Pick: It’s Midi VS Mini For This Spring’s Hottest Skirt

(l-r) Harley Viera Newton, Miss Selfridge Denim Skirt, £25

It’s nearly pay day so what better way to celebrate than to invest in a new denim skirt, and with the 70s trend riding high, our favourite wardrobe staple is back!

Officially the easiest-to-wear item you can get your hands on this season, the denim skirt has hit the rails again. And this time it’s in two forms – the button-down midi and the A-line midi. With the 70s ruling the style scene right now, you couldn’t make a smarter wardrobe move. Wear with polos and tights now and sliders and tees in the summer.

Championing the button-down is Alexa Chung, whose £175 design from her range for AG jeans is already flying off the shelves. Fear  not, though, we’ve tracked down some high-street alternatives if you don’t fancy a splurge.

For a more demure vibe, head over to camp midi, where the street-style set have been bringing the A-line back to life. Trust us, this is one wardrobe investment you won’t regret.
