Olivia Palermo, Kate Bosworth, Daisy Lowe and Victoria Pendleton were among the fash pack members hitting the Topshop Unique AW13 show at London Fashion Week yesterday. Always a hot ticket with the young cool crowd, stylista’s flocked to London’s Tate Modern gallery, where the show was held.
Olivia Palermo managed to look spring fresh while still keeping warm against the cold, teaming pink paisley Topshop trousers with a cosy faux fur coat and of-the-moment black and white chunky heels. Daisy Lowe nailed a medley of trends with her head-to-toe Topshop ensemble, ticking off monochrome, grid patterns and a triple print hit.
Kate Bosworth, who cosied up to beau Michael Polish on the FROW, worked a cool texture clash, teaming her grey fluffy jumper with a pewter sequin mini skirt for a master class in how to do daytime glitz. Both pieces were from the AW13 collection shown on the catwalk that day, lucky gal. Finally, Olympian-turned-fashionista Victoria Pendleton also worked a monochrome combo, completely decked out in Toppers’ pieces, and more than giving the regular show-goers a run for their money.
On the catwalk meanwhile, models including girl of the moment, Cara Delevingne, showcased a collection of contrasts, teaming PVC skirts with cropped mohair jumpers, jumpers embellished with plastic pieces and wool skirts complete with PVC inserts. ’90s Britpop silhouettes, traditional British carpets and Victorian pub wallpapers’, provided the inspiration, according to the show notes.
We bet Miss Bosworth’s shopping list is as long as the catwalk! GG
