Nicola Roberts found the perfect occasion for her showstopper of a dress at the weekend when she made an appearance at the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty VIP Preview at the V&A museum.
The former Girls Aloud star arrived in sparkling fashion at the exhibition honouring the late designer’s work, wearing a pink sequinned frock that clashed brilliantly with her red hair.
We love the loose-fit shape of the dress and the flattering below-knee hemline, while the three-quarter length sleeves gave it a slightly smock-like feel.
This shade of bright pink can be a tricky one to accessorise, but Nicola proved her impressive style prowess by teaming with fuschia heels with black bow detail, and clashing once again with a bright red lip.
The auburn-haired beauty got it so right with the rest of her make-up, sticking to a flawless porcelain base and a few falsies on the outer corners of her eye for a beautifully clean and elegant beauty look.
But while Nicola’s dress looks fresh off the runway, it turns out it’s an oldie that’s been hanging in her wardrobe for years!
Sharing a picture of her wearing it, Nicole wrote: ‘I love my vintage Norma Kamali dress. I’ve had it for 2 years and never found the right time to wear it.. I knew a McQueen exhibition could handle all those sequins.’ Excellent choice, Ms Roberts.
