Nick Grimshaw Does Not Want To Be Kim Kardashian’s Friend

Wow. So Nick Grimshaw is NOT a fan of Kim Kardashian.

The X Factor judge is known for being one of the friendliest radio hosts in the UK, with tonnes of celebrity friends to his name.

But one person he won’t be calling up for a chinwag is Ms Kardashian, if his latest comments are anything to go by.

Speaking of how he thinks fame should only be awarded to those who deserve it, the 31-year-old said:

‘Fame is a tricky one. If you’re Amy Winehouse and famous for writing great songs,  that’s great, but it blows my mind that so many people engage with someone like Kim Kardashian.

He continued: ‘She’s got nothing to say, no opinions on anything. I’d hate teenagers to think that’s the way to be happy, because it’s not  – it’s fake.

Grimmy went on to say that he doesn’t feel that way about all mega popular celebrities, though. In fact, he’s a huge Miley Cyrus fan.

‘For all the rolling around in her knickers, she actually has a conscience and founded her own charity for transgender youth’, Nick told The Radio Times.

‘When she hosted the MTV Video Music Awards this year she got all the kids to come on and speak. Just putting transgender teens on TV in middle America is very powerful.’

And, just like the rest of the world, he’s also a teeny bit obsessed with Adele.

‘After spending the morning with Adele, I would say her as well’, he said. ‘She’s 100% into being herself. I think that’s something heroic’.

His favourite celebrities aside, the TV and radio star also opened up to the magazine about his sexuality.

> Adele will also be on Grimmy’s Christmas card list…

Grimshaw asserted: ‘I never felt as an adult that I even had to come out. I only feel like you’re coming out if you’ve been married, or pretended you were straight.’

He continued: ‘I never had any false thoughts in my brain. I didn’t have three kids and then go, “Guess what guys?” There were no bulletins to be delivered because it was all I ever knew.’

That’s Grimmy. Always keeping it real.
