If you think Abercrombie is just preppy sportswear, think again.
For AW15, the American heritage brand is reinventing itself, and the new collection sees the brand move in a more edgy and fashion forward direction – think classic, easy pieces but with a fresh and modern twist.
To launch this new collection the brand needed a suitably modern model, and they couldn’t have picked better by choosing up and coming star, Neelam Gill.
The campaign, shot in NYC, sees Gill model a range of chic and stylish pieces – all designed to mix and match.
Highlights include a khaki green parka…

So who is Neelam Gill?
Gill’s Cinderella moment struck when Christopher Bailey personally picked her to star in an ad campaign for the brand two years ago. Gill was the first Indian model to appear in a Burberry campaign and since this moment she hasn’t looked back.
Gill starred in Kanye West’s New York Fashion Week show last February, has become the face of Blink Brow Bar (her incredible eyebrows were a natural choice for the threading bar), and starred alongside fellow Brit Suki Waterhouse in a British Airways’ campaign to launch its Dreamliner service from London to New Delhi.
The model is much, much more than a pretty face though. Gill is using her newfound fame to raise the profile of a number of issues close to her heart. On Gill’s YouTube channel she can be regularly found sounding off about issues as wide ranging as bullying, racism and depression.
The model has also recently teamed up with body confidence activist Harnaam Kaur – a.k.a The Bearded Lady – to discuss social media bullying in schools.
