This Is The Most Bought Dress On The High Street Right Now

Proms, weddings, races – the list of summer occasions that require a special frock is endless. Across the pond, it’s prom that’s the biggie, and US e-commerce site Lyst has done some digging into the shopping habits around searching for the perfect dress. Turns out, there’s one frock in particular that girls have been snapping up left, right and centre for prom 2016 – and it happens to be from Brit brand Needle & Thread.

Embellished Tulle Pink Dress, £185, Needle & Thread

The £185 blush pink tulle showstopper features a sequined bodice, grosgrain empire waist and cross back spaghetti straps, and is officially Lyst’s most purchased dress. It’s not just a prom queen’s dream though – we reckon it’d make a pretty awesome bridesmaid dress option too.

In fact, Needle & Thread is pretty much an occasionwear mecca, with everything from red carpet-worthy floorsweepers to statement separates, all decorated with the label’s signature ornate embellishment. Floral Cluster Prom Dress, £285, Needle & Thread

Scallop Lace Gown, £450, Needle & Thread

The garms aren’t eye-wateringly expensive either (despite the designer looks) with embellished tops and tulle skirts starting at £110, going up to £450 for a floor length frock. Oh, and brides-to-be should totally check out N&T’s bridal line too. We’re talking beautiful gowns and mix and match separates – v. cool – for a fraction of the usual price of bridal attire. TBH, it’s that good, we’d wear it even if we weren’t getting hitched.
