We’ve all been wondering who would be in Burberry’s campaign for SS15, bets were on for Cara Delevingne and her pet bunny Cecil, we thought little Brooklyn Beckham might even make an appearance too, but it was two of our fave supermodels, Jourdan Dunn and Naomi Campbell that made the cut.
Burberry’s main man Christopher Bailey said of the two stars- “Naomi and Jourdan – two great British icons, two strong, beautiful women and the two perfect faces for our new campaign. It is, as always, a real privilege to work with them.”
Reminiscent of Kate and Cara’s My Burberry campaign in September, also shot by Burb fave photographer – Mario Testino. The two major players around 20 years apart in age, Jourdan at 24 and Naomi looking stunning still at 44.
The images bring together two of the world’s best supermodels, who despite being close for a number of years, have never been shot together until now. Both rocking brightly coloured trenches and scarves as seen on the SS15 catwalk show at Kensington Gardens in September.
As well as the two model beauties, Burberry chose to shoot some hot new musicians too – well it wouldn’t be Burbs without some kind of spin! Drummer Brit boys George Barnett from These New Puritans and George Le Page from Empires gave us more than our fair share of eye candy for the SS5 campaign.
Naomi made her big return to fashion this season with catwalk appearances at Pucci, DVF and Bradley Mischka. The new campaign marking her second for Burberry – her first starring alongside Kate Moss in 2001.
Well Burbs, you’ve done it again. We salute you.
