Recreating the famous bed-in shot of John Lennon and Yoko Ono from 1969, the hubby and wife combo are seen modelling River Island’s Come Together charity tees, the profits of which will be donated directly to the cause.
‘The original image is one that is moving to us all, and the work that War Child does is something that we can all be inspired by’, Millie said of the collaboration. ‘On top of that, the t-shirt is gorgeous’.
At just £18, the cool vintage-look tees are an exact replica of the one Lennon wore to the 1971 Cannes Film Festival, and feature an original 1969 design by Arnie Goodman and Rob Rose.
Ben Knowles, director of fundraising at War Child, says: ‘This t-shirt continues to spread a message of peace – we hope Brits buy it so we can continue our vital work protecting innocent children caught in the middle of wars they didn’t start’.
River Island’s distressed Come Together tees will be available in both grey and red and go on sale tomorrow in stores and online, so make like Millie and Pro and do your bit for charity.
