Michelle Keegan was an autumn/winter vision at the launch of her brand new collection for Lipsy London, which hit the shopping rails today.
Just in time for the party season, Michelle’s Lipsy range reflects some of the season’s hottest colourways and cuts, including stylish separates, luxe evening gowns and statement bodycon dresses.
Wearing a slinky black bodycon knit dress – straight from her new range, of course – teamed with some gorgeous black thigh-high boots, the Northern beauty was bursting with excitement as we sat down for an exclusive chat about her new designs.
What’s your favourite piece from your new collection?
Obviously this! (Points to the bodycon she is wearing.)
I also love the camel coat with the faux fur. It’s quite glamorous, with the faux fur around the neck and the cuffs. It gives a nod to the seventies too, which has been massive this year.
Do you have any fashion or beauty rules for a night out?
I never wear anything low cut, I never have done. I also try and style it around one piece, so if I’m wearing an LBD, I’d let that be the main focus and then team it with really nude shoes or black strappy heels, something quite simple.
Who do you think is really nailing autumn dressing at the moment?
Kylie Jenner. I think she looks amazing. I always find myself thinking that she’s the cool sister because she tries out so many different looks.
So many celebrities are pregnant at the moment, who do you think is nailing maternity style, and who isn’t?
Chrissy Teigen is nailing it! She looked insane on the red carpet the other day.
She always dresses down which I quite like too. I think it’s great when women can dress down and look effortless and stylish. Chrissy is one of those women. She’s really relatable and I think she’s a girl’s girl. I could picture her in a t-shirt and jeans, still looking incredible.
I wouldn’t say Kim isn’t nailing pregnancy fashion, but I wouldn’t wear what she was wearing. But for her, she looks very nice.
Is there an item in your wardrobe that you’ve just never worn?
So many! I impulse buy, so if I see I see something I think ‘that’ll look great’, take it home, and then never wear it.
I’d say I’m probably like that with shirts. I like a shirt. I try and wear plain, block colours, and then I bought a floral shirt and it didn’t suit me, and it’s still in the wardrobe now with tags on.
