Michelle Keegan has something BIG to celebrate.
The ex-Coronation Street star has been nominated in the Drama Performance category at the National Television Awards, thanks to her role as Tracy in gripping BBC drama Ordinary Lies.
She’s got some stiff competition in the form of actors including Suranne Jones, Peter Capaldi, Olivia Colman, Michelle Dockery and Gillian Anderson, but we reckon she’s got a good chance of nabbing the gong.
Ordinary Lies aired back in March, and Michelle’s character arc saw Tracy become a drugs mule in the Caribbean.
The storyline was suitably dramatic, with Michelle impressing the critics and receiving plenty of well-deserved praise for her first turn away from the cobbles.
Despite this, Michelle has been rather Twitter and Instagram-shy about her nomination.
However, she has been keeping her followers updated on her new work challenges and social commitments with her husband Mark Wright.
Last night, she and Mark headed to London for children’s hospice Haven House’s autumn ball. Mark hosted a charity auction, while Mich lent her support.
Michelle looked stunning in a form-fitting black gown, which featured sexy mesh detailing around the chest and a tasteful high neck.
Her hair had been styled into a bouncy blow-dry and she’d been made up with a subtle smoky eye, a coffee-coloured pout and a sweep of bronzer.
Mark was just as dapper in a three-piece suit and a pair of smart brogues.
The couple – who got married in May – hung out with Good Morning Britain presenter Richard Arnold at the event, who also led the auction.
Michelle clearly had a great night with her hubby, later Tweeting Richard: ‘Awwww lovely seeing u tonight Rich! Love ya. xxx.’
She also showed her love for the capital, captioning an Instagram picture: ‘The City is glowing tonight… #TheShard #TowerofLondon #london.’
Not a bad photographer, is she?!
