You can always rely on Jeremy Scott to inject a bit of fun into fashion week and this season, it was no different. The Moschino show took place last night and following the previous two collections – all McDonalds and Barbie inspo – this time around, it was all about everyone’s fave cartoon, Looney Tunes.
The models sported bright-hued jumper dresses illustrated with the Looney Tunes cast all over them – who, of course, were all wearing chunky Moschino necklaces (didn’t you know they were big fans?) The extremely eccentric show was definitely the brightest collection we have seen so far this fashion month and was full of the fun, as is expected when it comes to Mr. Scott.
Gigi Hadid sported three looks on the catwalk including an enormous arty ball gown and bright green quilted shorts.
Tapping into the sporty trend – which also stood out in Tommy Hilfiger’s collection – Moschino was all about baseball-inspired stripes and sporty-looking vests. All though – of course – with a serious splash of fun. Clearly novelty is going nowhere soon! (We are pretty eager to see the phone case…)
Striking primary colours filled the collection and proved that Jeremy Scott is not stepping away from his seriously fun idea of fashion design. We cannot wait to see what next season will hold and who his inspiration might be, but we have a feeling it won’t be too serious.
Surely it’s only a matter of time before the high street start channelling their fave cartoons – Tom and Jerry, Johnny Bravo and Penelope Pittstop – we are waiting for you!
