The £8 Hats The Style Set Can’t Get Enough Of

Following their hugely successful Alphabet Scarves campaign last year, Matalan has just launched their next exciting project in aid of Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Charity.

Yep, while last year’s campaign raised a whopping £650,000 to go towards Alder Hey’s new research centre, the high street giant has just unveiled the 2015 initiative to help build on the development: the Beanie vs. Bobble campaign.

To date, the likes of Abbey Clancy, Kylie Minogue, Zoe Hardman, Lottie Moss and Louise Thompson have all been snapped in their choice of headgear – the idea being that the A-listers will help promote the hats as the wardrobe staple to buy this season after tagging their snaps as #ImaBeanie or #ImaBobble.

Most recently, world-renowned girl band Little Mix have shown their support for the campaign, posting snaps of themselves in Matalan’s millinery. Now if that’s not reason enough to snap one up, we don’t know what is..

And you can get yours now! Both beanie and bobble hats come in six different colourways in store and online, with kid’s sizes coming in at £4 and adults at just £8. As was the case last year, 100% of all profits from the hats will go to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Charity. If that’s not enough to convince you to snap one up, we don’t know what is..

Louise Barrett, Head of Corporate and Major Giving for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Charity added: “Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Charity continues to raise funds for vital children’s health research at Alder Hey, along with providing play activities and patient experience initiatives to create a more child-friendly environment.

We are incredibly grateful to Matalan and all their customers for their continued support. With their help we can make a massive difference to future generations of children and young people.”

Judging by the momentum of the campaign so far, we wouldn’t be surprised if this year’s comes out on top of the last. Which one will you be, a bobble or a beanie?
