We know that Paris Fashion Week started today, but we just can’t stop ourselves from cooing over the Giorgio Armani show, which was one of the last on the Milan schedule yesterday. It was a sumptuous offering of tailored separates, fluid silhouettes and swirling print dresses, dusted with a haze of Italian glamour seen in the rich colour palette and super luxe textures.
In short, it was everything we wanted and more; not just because it was a beautiful collection, but it was also entirely wearable. In fact, we reckon the impeccably cut trousers, jackets and silky blouses wouldn’t look out of place in our dream work wardrobe, while the accessories were everything we’ve been longing for in our everyday acessory arsenal. Obviously, we’re obsessed. And, as is usally the case with our greatest fashion obsessions, we were compelled to embark on a quest to find some Armani-esque hero buys on the high street. Guess what? We found them!
In fact, our favourite shopping haunts have stuffed their rails with all sorts of great basics that, with a little style magic, could easily be elevated to catwalk status. A slouchy roll neck, for example, will look super sharp when paired with tailored trews and patent boots. We loved the structured, cross-front trousers that Mr. Armani debuted on his runway, and luckily Lavish Alice has its very own version to keep our wardrobes happy. We’ll be rocking ours with everything from basic tees and stacked heels to silky blouses and pointed flats. On top of that, we’ve hunted down some pastel tailoring, ladylike handbags and ankle-strap shoes to channel the designer offering.
Looks like we’ve just found our new uniform, then. And we’ll be wearing it Armani-style.
