Made In Chelsea’s Binky Felstead is constantly surprising us with her sartorial choices.
One day it will be all about the off-the-shoulder sweater, jeans and wedges, but the next it’s a racy leopard print bodysuit or a ladylike flare skirt and heels. A true style chameleon.
But whatever she’s wearing, she always looks great. Which is why we caught up with her to nick ahead of London’s first street style weekend on 18th April 2015 and the launch of the OtterBox MySymmetry case range to find out her top five fashion tips on achieving Chelsea street style on a budget.
Tip 1: Faux Fur
‘I love a faux fur jacket; it adds instant glamour to your outfit. Put it over bare shoulders to glam something up or even over a simple t-shirt. It’s affordable, you don’t have to spend big bucks and every girl should have one. Match yours with a MySymmetry Series insert for your take on Chelsea chic.’
Tip 2: Statement Jewellery
‘Statement jewellery is a complete life saver. It will jazz up any outfit, and if you don’t have a budget, you don’t need to go out and buy anything new – just pop on your statement jewellery and it will completely change the outfit.’
Tip 3: Tailored Jacket
‘A tailored jacket can be worn on any occasion –it can be put over some really casual jeans or put over a really pretty dress for a date. As the weather gets a little bit warmer we can finally take off those big winter coats and put on something a little lighter.’
Tip 4: Day to night dress
‘There’s nothing better than a simple dress that’s transferable from day to night time. You can wear a really cool flowy dress all day long and jazz it up at night with a really cool leather biker jacket.’
Tip 5: Cashmere
‘It wouldn’t be Chelsea street style without a bit of luxury fabric, and lets face it, cashmere is the best! It’s a worthwhile investment to add some chic to your spring summer wardrobe. You can really make it pop with your MySymmetry Series insert.’
